About High Plains
A small shop, run by people who know what 30-below does to a garage door.
Travis started High Plains in Cheyenne in 2016 after twelve years working trucks for a national chain. The model's simple: three trucks, four techs, no call center. When you ring our line, you get someone who knows the job — most days, that's Travis.
We specialize in cold-climate setups: insulated steel, beefier springs, weather seal that actually holds up to wind. If you've had a door fight Wyoming weather and lose, you know what we're talking about.

What customers say
Local. On time. Done right.
Spring replacement
“Twenty-below morning, door wouldn't budge. Travis came out same day and didn't just patch it — he showed me the cracked spring coil and explained how the cold accelerates it. Replaced both springs at once. Worth it.”
Insulated door install
“We replaced our old single-pane door with an insulated steel unit. Heating bill in the shop dropped noticeably. They handled the whole install in one day and cleaned up after.”
Commercial overhead
“Run a small ranch operation. The barn doors take a beating from cattle and weather. High Plains spec'd a heavier commercial unit and gave us a maintenance schedule. Three years of reliable.”
